When you first decide that you want To Learn To Play Guitar, things can be a bit confusing. You’re filled with all this anticipation, but most people don’t even know where to start. And that can be very hindering. Well the very first thing you need is a guitar. Yup, before you can understand guitar you actually need to have a guitar.

A beginner guitar

plenty of people actually question what a good beginner guitar is. My answer is that there is no true beginner guitar. Though, I do have some advice for why I think that beginners should get a certain kind of guitar. Personally I think its good to learn guitar on a pretty low-grade guitar. The reason is  if you learn on a cheap guitar then, not merely will you appreciate the more expensive guitars more, but you will also feel the distinction when you upgrade, and perhaps realize that more luxurious doesn’t  essentially mean better.

Also Its simpler for a beginner to Learn To Play Guitar on either a classical nylon string guitar or an Electric Guitar. The reason is that the strings have less tension and are easier to play without harming your fingers. myself I learned on a really cheap steal string guitar, even today, it is actually the hardest guitar I have ever played. That guitar completely calloused my finger tips because I played it every day for a year, till I finally upgraded. Now I don’t recommend you get a guitar that is tough to play, trust me if I had a choice I would rather the strings be easier to play. But when your guitar isn’t perfect, you definitely value better guitars, regardless of the price. But if you’re an acoustic guitar fan especially if your on a budget I recommend that you learn guitar on a Classical Guitar, and many are pretty cheap.

So now you have your guitar, now you need to learn to play guitar. So, what is the ideal way to learn guitar? There are lots of options out there for the new guitarist. however, which one is the best? Well lets look at the options.

You can learn from a teacher.

If you learn from a private teacher it could be good because you have someone right there with you who is a professional and they can correct you when you mess up. However teachers can be very expensive and they are not always reliable.

You can learn to play guitar from a guide

Guitar guides are full of information, and can help you understand chord patterns very easily. Nevertheless books can not successfully teach certain techniques, especially if you need to hear the technique. However for theory, scales and chords books are superb.

You can learn by video

With video you can actually see whats going on and correct your techniques. However with videos you feel like you have to keep up with the teacher and your playing and willingness can suffer from this. Especially since its hard to follow tabs or notes when they keep moving…

You can learn to play online

Now If you have a computer this is surely the best choice. Learning online combines the best of all the previous options. And its usually less than the price of one or two private lessons. in addition some courses even have certain integrated software that will make learning feel like a video game and makes guitar easy. The only thing missing is someone who is actually right in front of you correcting you.

At an age when most young men are still trying to decide between grad school and the night shift at Denny’s, Olafur Arnalds has already made a name for himself as a musical maverick who skirts the edges of the classical, rock, electronic, and avant-garde worlds with enthusiastic ease, a Nico Muhly with a higher tolerance for cold weather, if you will. On his second full-length release, Arnalds moves further away from electronics to embrace a more acoustically oriented approach centered on piano and strings. Electronics do play a supporting role — they’re simply used to enhance the atmosphere here and there, but in the main, Arnalds is creating 21st century chamber music here, as the piano makes simple, elegant statements whose harmonic possibilities are further fleshed out by the strings. And Arnalds may be a modernist in terms of pushing stylistic boundaries, but he still has some old-school, downright romantic notions about melodic movement — you won’t find any polytonality or serial music among these tracks. Arnalds prefers instead to repurpose old-school harmonic conventions in a new context, offering the listener a readily accessible emotional connection but still breaking new ground. And on the few strategic spots in the album where Arnalds drops in drums and/or electric guitar and repetitive motifs, the effect is not dissimilar to the headier moments of the aforementioned Sig? r Ros, or perhaps early-? 70s Pink Floyd at their most ethereal, showing the rock crowd that they too have a point of entry into this music. ~ J.
