i would like to learn how to play Classical Guitar?

i Play Guitar myself and i want to get my life involed in music i mean i would like to have a job where i do music and no i dont mean rockstar because if your like me todays muisc is dead its all pop and stuff and well you know. what i am trying to say is i would like to get in a school where i can play guitar like a university but i dont think they will accept guitarist that play like metal or rock i think it is pure classical style of playing and i can not find how to learn to play classical if anyone has been to a university or anything and played guitar or know what they do and what they have played. please help me, if anyone went to a music shcool to become a composer or a music teacher could you please try to explain on what i need to know or do to get into a music school To Play Guitar or if they even accept guitarist. I apologize for being blunt i am just getting a little ticked of with life

Well, the blunt truth is that you will need to take lessons on classical guitar before you will be accepted into a music department at a university. See, I’m a guitarist too, and I totally understand about what you are saying about today’s ‘music’. The problem is that as a guitarist who plays metal and rock, you probably have developed SO many bad habits that it will takes years of practice for you to unlearn them and start developing proper classical guitar technique. Most rock guitarists (like myself) do not properly place the thumb of the fretboard hand in the middle of the back of the neck – instead we often let the thumb go all the way up (and sometimes over) the top of the neck, for example. This particularly bad habit severely limits your ability to play more complex pieces. If you want to see perfect technique, look up say John WIlliams on YouTube. I’ll try to find a link for you:

I personally can play some classical pieces (easy to moderate level), but my technique (or lack thereof) prevents me from getting the really good pieces right. I guess I’ve taken a middle ground – I’ve developed into an acoustic guitarist/songwriter wherein the technique factor doesn’t come into play as much – it’s more about the chord structure, the melody, and the meaning I’m trying to get across in the lyrics. I still goof around with classical sometimes, but my songs are getting good reviews, so that’s more rewarding to me. (And they are not vapid pop songs – I make sure that they carry meaning).
